Dear Parent,

LangoKids will be offering after-school Spanish or French language classes in Katy for children in grades pre-K to 2^nd. All classes are taught using 100% full language immersion (no instruction in English!) by a Certified Teacher! Multisensory activities will captivate and engage your child, whether he or she is an auditory, kinesthetic, tactile, or visual learnerthrough songs,music,puppets,oral exercises,creative movement, manipulatives, storytelling,games, crafts, and much, much more!

Rules and Policies

_Add/Drops:_{Add/drop requests are for switching classes only. (See our Withdrawal Policy below for information about dropping out of a class.)}

_{Students must complete an Add/Drop form in order to make any changes to their original language class. Forms are available at the front desk. Your chosen “drop date” must fall on the 1st of the month. In order to drop a class, you must turn in a Drop form no later than the 15th of the month prior to your drop date to avoid being charged another month (i.e. drop no later than October 15 to be effective November 1). There will be no refunds to your Automatic Monthly tuition if the Drop request is not received 15 days prior to your drop date. Students wishing to add a class must first confirm with the instructor regarding availability. Add/Drops made by phone will not be accepted. However,a parent may email a detailed Add/Drop request to}_{langowesthouston@yahoo.com}_{in which an official email reply will be sent to let you that your drop request has been approved and processed.}

_{Arrival / Dismissal Procedures: For the safety of all, children are to be dropped off & picked up inside the studio in a timely manner. For the safety of all, tots and pre-schoolers must have a parent/guardian in the Studio at all times. Students will not be allowed to leave the building without a parent. No student will be permitted to wait outside or walk home, regardless of age. Students not picked up at the end of their class will be charged a babysitting fee ($10 per 15 minutes). We recommend that a parent observe the last 5 minutes of every class.}

_{Attendance: Regular attendance is highly suggested. Siblings may remain in the lobby area if they are quiet & well supervised by the parent.}

_{Calendar: The Studio operates on an August - May calendar. We also follow the Katy ISD calendar. We usually have classes on Early Release days.}

_{Cell Phone Usage: To preserve the quality of instruction and to minimize distractions, conversations (including cell phone conversations) should be kept at a minimum. Should you need to take a cell phone call, we ask that you take your calls outside or near the entry way. We are a Christian-owned studio. We require all parents and observers to maintain POSITIVE behavior and appropriate language while in the studio and while attending studio events. Behavior that is considered loud or disruptive is not permitted.}

_{Class Cancellations: During periods of severe weather, the Studio consults KISD. Should weather conditions make it unsafe for our students to travel, the studio will cancel classes and post a notice on the Home page. If the calendar permits, teachers will make every effort to schedule a make up class. If a make up class can not be scheduled due to room scheduling conflicts, students will have the opportunity to take another class on another day and time that will meet their schedule. Credits or refunds to monthly tuition will not be made.}

_{Monthly Tuition: Tuition is deducted automatically on the 1st of each month through a debit/credit card. We do not accept personal checks for the monthly or semester tuition fees. Transactions that are declined will be charged a $25.00 fee, and the student will not be allowed to participate in class until the account is current. Add/Drop forms must be completed by the 15th of the month prior to make any changes. If you need to update your payment information, please submit a new Payment Authorization form. All months are priced the same regardless of holidays. Make-up classes are to be taken within 1 month of missed class & must be completed while the student is still enrolled in that class. Tuition is non-refundable.}

_{Observation Window: Parents and siblings are welcome to watch the classes through the observer’s window in Room 2 or on the video monitor for Room 3. To preserve the quality of instruction and to minimize distractions, conversations (including cell phone conversations) should be kept at a minimum. We also ask that siblings be monitored closely and bring quite activities to do. We are a Christian-owned studio, and we strive to create a positive atmosphere for your child. We require all parents and observers to maintain POSITIVE behavior and appropriate language while in the studio and while attending studio events. Behavior that is considered loud or disruptive is not permitted.}

_{Photo Release: A dancer's picture may be taken during class by a Lango representative or designated agent for the sole purpose of publicity to be used on our studio website, promotional flyers, posters, ads, mailers, and/or banners. Students not wishing to have their photos taken must submit a letter in writing indicating revocation of consent at the time of registration. All pictures chosen for use are based on good dance technique & proper attire. All pictures are family friendly & positive.}

_{Teaching Positions}_{: Individuals interested in a teaching position should send a detailed resume to}_{www.langowesthouston@yahoo.com}_{Teaching certification and experience is preferred. Applicants meeting requirements will be notified via email or phone for an interview.}

_{Demo Class}_{: Students are invited to participate in a "no obligation" trial class for $15.00 each class. A parent or guardian must accompany the student to complete a trial enrollment form and submit the cash or check payment for the student to participate. Students will only be permitted to try the same class one time. _{Withdrawal Policy:}

_{Lango has a non-refundable withdrawal policy. Language learning is a process, and students need at least one full school year to experience true growth in the new language. Only in special case-by-case circumstances will a refund be considered (moving out of the area, loss of employment, student illness, etc.)}
