Our Team

As the Lango Leader of the West Houston/Katy area, my goal is to ensure the delivery of fun and engaging Spanish and French language classes to children at a location that is convenient for parents. This is the key to the success of Lango--quality instruction by highly skilled educators.

Lango's teachers make our classes truly exceptional. In our selection process, we look for five distinct qualities: native/bilingual fluency, limitless positive energy, creativity, teaching experience with relevant age groups and outstanding communication skills with both children and their parents. Beyond these qualities, though, our teachers bring unique cultural perspectives and professional backgrounds that enable them to create rich, engaging experiences in the classroom.  

Although Lango is new to the West Houston/Katy area, it is not new to the nation.  The program was first launched in 2006 in San Francisco, California, and has since branched out all to enrich children all across the nation! Call to find out more about our Lango language programs!

MEET THE WEST HOUSTON/KATY LANGO TEAM:

Henry Celis: Born in Venezuela, Henry is a native Spanish speaker. At the University of Caracas, he earned degrees in Education and English as a Foreign Language.  He then went on to study at L'Alliance Francaise in Paris for three years, where he earned his certification to teach French.  He then returned to Venezuela, and for the next fourteen years taught foreign languages in both the public and private school systems. He was also an instructor at several local universities, teaching courses to college students seeking to learn English or French as a second language. In 2001, Henry came to the United States with an international teaching program, and taught Spanish, French, and ESL in both the Alamance and Guilford County School Districts in North Carolina. He moved to Texas in 2004, and has since worked for Katy ISD to help teach bilingual and ESL students. In addition, he has provided private tutoring in French, Spanish, and ESL to both adults and children in the West Houston/Katy area. Not only is Henry proud to be the new West Houston/Katy Lango leader, but also to be your child's Lango teacher!
