Aloha, Hola, Ni Hao, Bonjour! My name is Amy Swirsky. I am the Lango Managing Director on Oahu, wife and mother of two kids. My passion for languages really took hold at Lewis & Clark College where I spent a semester studying at the Universidad de Cuyo in Argentina. After graduation, I lived in Ecuador and taught at El Centro de Estudios Interamericanos teaching English as a second language to non-English speaking students. Before moving to Hawaii, I lived in Mexico working as a bilingual contract recruiter.
I believe it’s important for kids to learn a second language and about other cultures at a young age. When children learn a foreign language, it broadens their perspective of the world and gives them greater opportunity. I am excited to manage the Lango Program on Oahu and thrilled to be teaching some of the Spanish classes. Lango is an ideal supplement to any preschool and elementary school curriculum.
My goal is to have kids feel the excitement of learning new languages by providing engaging, high-quality language emersion classes in convenient locations throughout Oahu. What makes the program successful is a unique blend of; a FUN filled curriculum, small classes, many convenient locations and extremely dedicated teachers, who make our classes truly exceptional.
