Lango was established on the belief that every American child should learn a second language. Frustrated by the lack of options to teach our own kids another language (and having met many other families with the same concern), we set out to create a program that would teach kids new languages in a way that kids will love. Headquartered in San Francisco, California, Lango teaches children ages 1-8 new languages in full immersion classes through culturally based music, art, games, stories and movement.
Lango is a member of Intrax Cultural Exchange, a family of organizations devoted to cultural exchange and international education, with operations in over 80 countries worldwide. Our sister companies include AuPairCare, Intrax Career Development, AYUSA, Intrax Study Abroad for High School, Intrax Intern Abroad, and Intrax International Institute.
Lango Philly is looking for additional Spanish teachers for our classes in Chestnut Hill and Jenkintown (Philadelphia). If you are a native Spanish speaker or bilingual (English-Spanish), and have a passion for teaching young learners, we'd like to talk with you! Please call us at (267) 234-8280, or email: teach@aworldnextdoor.com for immediate consideration.
Lango Philly Brings Adventure Learning to Jenkintown Library
Yes, incredible, but true! Cosmo, an official spokesdog for Lango has traveled all over the world and speaks four different languages besides English!
Now he wants to share his secrets to learning a second language and make new friends in his favorite city. Go Phillies!
Starting this fall, Cosmo and his friends will be teaching Spanish, French, Mandarin and Italian classes at the Little Gym in Jenkintown, O’Doodle’s Toy Store on Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill and at Big Blue Marble Bookstore in Mt. Airy. Each class meets once a week for 10 weeks; and all students will receive a certificate, official Lango badge, and a special graduation gift on the last day of class. Cosmo will also host his first ever live internet radio show on Sundays at 5:00. Each month he'll bring you the latest and greatest news and views from pets around the world, plus exciting games, stories, music and fun! Of course he'll be speaking in one of Lango's popular target languages. The show is free to all Lango students and their families.
After taking Cosmo’s class, you’ll be ready to teach your own dog, cat, bird, turtle, fish, dinosaur (okay, maybe not a dinosaur), but any other pet in your family how to speak in your new language. Tell your parents that the first class is free if you register before Labor Day. Call us at (267) 234-8280 to discuss the best class for you, or email us at lango@aworldnextdoor.com.
