My name is Tamari Jenkins and I have been a college level Spanish professor for 12 years in the Inland Empire region of southern California. I currently teach full time at Chaffey College and have been there since January of 2002. After the birth of my son in 2005 I began to develop a strong interest in early childhood foreign language education. Exposing my son early to different languages has always been a priority for me. Now that I'm teaming up with Lango I am passionate about bringing foreign languages for kids to Rancho Cucamonga and to the entire western Inland Empire territory that I am excited to serve. Spanish is still the fastest growing language in this community and with my strong background in that language it is natural that I would want to start there. My first Spanish classes will be offered in September of 2010. I am also aware of the increasing interest in Chinese and am planning to bring a Mandarin instructor on board and start with those classes by January 2011. French is a language of great beauty and charm and there's nothing cuter than hearing it roll off a young child's lips. I am certainly open to adding French to our program as the classes are requested.
I am here to meet the needs of the children and parents of this community and I just hope to be able to infect you with the enthusiasm that I I feel for this endeavor. Why Lango? Because it's never too early for your child to learn another language!
